Creative Kids Crafts

Creativity

Creativity is important in our lives. We encourage our boys to be creative whenever possible. There are so many ways to do this. For example, crafting; making things out of other things and doing craft kits. Another way my kids can be creative is by building. Such as with Legos, Lincoln Logs, Picasso Tiles and most other materials. Yet another way to be creative is through words; writing or telling stories, coming up with riddles or jokes and more. I enjoy watching how they each come up with their own projects which are as unique as they are.

Creative Crafting

On this page I am going to focus mostly on crafting creativity. Some examples of this include making sun catchers from pony beads and ornaments with shrink film. Other examples are crafting name clips and beaded backpack clips. They enjoy collecting items in nature when we go on hikes, or are just in our backyard. Sometimes they put their treasures together to make pictures, statues or other natural masterpieces.

I might add some jokes, as one of my kiddos loves to tell jokes (and hear them). Of course, they will all be clean, G-rated jokes. Feel free to try them out and share them with little ones in your life.

My kids are ages 3-9, so most of the crafts featured here will be aimed towards that age range. Of course, I will try some other craft projects that I might not have them do. Sometimes they don’t have the patience or interest for a project that I enjoy.

Preschool Porcupines

Shrink film ornaments

Shrink film ornaments go back to the 80s with this craft. Introduce shrink film to your kids and reminisce of years gone by. Create this for ornaments, gifting or any other small festive decoration.
