Theme parties for kids

I enjoy celebrating the people in my life. Birthdays are a great time to celebrate. Having three kids allows me to plan and throw theme parties for their birthdays, based on their interests.

Theme parties-a move to simple

Theme parties can be so fun. Also, they can cause so much stress and pressure to have a pinterest-worthy party. For me, simple is better and less stressful. Some of the parties were more involved than others, but as I have thrown more and more parties the older my kids get, I value simple. It took a few parties for me to realize I was too concerned with everything going just right. For example, activities being completed and entertaining all of the guests and more. I lost the enjoyment of celebrating the person and made it more about the party. Running around to make sure everything was in place and everything was just so was exhausting.

Eventually, I realized I did not have to plan every second of the party. Whether it is a theme party or not, all of the stress is unnecessary. Plan some activities during the party. However, I learned to be flexible. If not all of the planned games are played, that is fine. For instance, kids play on their own and can be more creative in their play with little direction. Additionally, Adults like to communicate and catch up. The important thing to remember is the reason for the party. That, of course, is to celebrate the person who has the birthday.
