I have always had an admiration for God’s creation, exploring and learning about the natural world around me. My education is in Environmental Science, and my past profession was all about plants. One of my favorite plants, Mountain Laurel (Kalmia Latifolia) is the inspiration for my site name. Kalmia latifolia is also the state flower of Pennsylvania, where I have lived for most of my life. Therefore, Kalmia connects with my home state. The ‘mom’ part of Kalmia Mom is the main part of this blog and the articles within. I am a boy mom and share some ideas, things I’ve learned and activities to do.
